Original ink drawing illustrating anxiety and fear which are inherent traits in every human being. Anxiety and fear are basic survival mechanisms that signals our bodies to respond to danger with a fight or flight response. It is an essential part of keeping us safe.
My initial inspiration in creating skull themed imagery to depict certain uncomfortable human emotions was from the classic Greek evil eye symbol - the mati. The themed skull artwork is my variation of the concept. It is believed that hanging the "evil eye" in ones home will ward off the "evil eye", in this case, anxiety and fear.
